About Alexis:

Alexis Murillo-Felix is deeply committed to creating vibrant urban spaces and improving transportation infrastructure that is integral to livability, including access to economic vitality, educational opportunities, and healthy communities. She has insightful experience in urban planning, design, analysis, public policy, smart technology, and marketing in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. Alexis leverages her multidisciplinary work experience and education to shape the cities of tomorrow.

Alexis earned her master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of California, Irvine with a concentration in transportation planning and design. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in interdisciplinary design and visual communications.

I explore cities as an artist and advocate that architectural and design elements add to a city’s character. I believe the highest form of art is urban design and planning.

She’s interested in incorporating her design background and understanding of complex concept development to transportation and urban planning. Her passion and enthusiasm for planning is born out of the belief that cities and places are integral to the human experience and society’s collective memories. She hopes to contribute to the positive development of the cities and transportation systems.
